Acknowledgement Format

Please respect the hard work which went into this project. We have allowed use of our data for virtually any purpose. This data is now in the public domain and may be used by anyone for any purpose. However, as a professional courtesy, we would like any users to notify at least one of the PIs. This is to ensure fair authorship recognition, if appropriate, and to make sure the users are aware of any corrections or ongoing research.

We request that any publication, oral presentation, poster, web page, technical report, course material or any other media which uses the data or photographs collected by the SHEBA Surface Flux Group either directly or some derivation thereof, should contain the following acknowledgement, including the names of PIs that are not authors.

Acknowledgement

"We thank our colleagues in the SHEBA Atmospheric Surface Flux Group, Ed Andreas, Chris Fairall, Peter Guest, and Ola Persson for help collecting and processing the data. The National Science Foundation supported this research with grants to the U.S. Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory, NOAA's Environmental Technology Laboratory, and the Naval Postgraduate School."

Also, for anyone using data from the SHEBA portable automated mesonet (PAM) station we request that you acknowledge the contribution by the NCAR Atmospheric Technology Division, Tom Horst, Director. These folks worked very hard in extreme conditions to ensure good quality continuous data from the PAM stations. Their efforts were also funded by the National Science Foundation.
